Replaceable filter element of the SA-FIL series for filters, filter-regulators

Filter elements are consumables for various filters, filter regulators, and compressed air preparation units designed to purify air from solid particles. Standard polypropylene filter elements have a purification fineness for particles larger than 25 µm. On request, you can also purchase bronze and polypropylene filter elements with purification fineness of 40 µm or 5 µm.

The lifetime of the replacement filter element depends on the air cleanliness. One way to extend it is pre-filtration (installing 25 µm filters before a 5 µm filter, and 40 µm before 25 µm).

Deterioration in throughput and increased pressure drop on the filter indicate the need to replace the filter element. A contaminated bronze filter element can be carefully washed with warm water and dried, but this does not always work because particles can penetrate deeply into the pores of the filtering material.

The filter element should remain dry during operation. If the condensate in the filter-moisture separator bowl exceeds the limit mark and the filter element absorbs moisture, it will stop functioning and will pass contaminated air. To prevent such situations, we recommend installing the automatic condensate drain SA-ZDPS. If the filter element becomes wet, it should be washed and thoroughly dried.
