    Description

    Industrial air filter series SA-FN in an aluminium casing designed for filtering compressed air before supply to pneumatic tools:

    • a vortex moisture separator separates liquid moisture from the air (the air should be cooled after compression by the compressor so that moisture condenses into liquid);
    • a replaceable filter element retains solid particles of 25 μm (or 5 μm when replaced with the appropriate filtration degree element).

    Filters in this series can be used in any pneumatic systems that work with compressed air at a pressure up to 10 bar and flow rates up to 11500 nl/min (the maximum permissible flow depends on the selected size). Internal metric or pipe cylindrical threads — M5, G1/8″, G1/4″, G3/8″, G1/2″, G3/4″ or G1″ — are used to connect the filter to the air duct.

    The device's aluminium casing is powder coated. The transparent technopolymer bowl for collecting condensate is additionally protected by an aluminium cup, except for the smallest size model SA-FN10. The device by default is equipped with a manual condensate drain, meaning moisture is manually drained by opening the condensate drain below the filter.

    Air filters of the SA-FN series can be equipped with an automatic condensate drain of the SA-ZDPS series, which is triggered when a certain level of condensate is reached in the flask. This is a more convenient and reliable way of condensate removal.

    Standard Supply Package

    1. FN series air filter
    2. Replaceable 25 μm filter element (installed inside the filter)
    3. Mounting elements for wall or other vertical surface installation

    Advantages of SA-FN Filter for Pneumatic Tools

    • The protective metal cup on FN filters is stronger and more reliable than the plastic one in similar models SA-FU and SA-FM;
    • The filtration degree can be increased by ordering and installing a 5 μm filter element (instead of the standard 25 μm);
    • For continuously operating pneumatic systems, the filter can be equipped with an automatic condensate discharge device SA-ZDPS. This device also simplifies maintenance by providing automatic drainage without stopping the system and does not require constant monitoring of the condensate level;
    • If necessary, the SA-FN series filter can be assembled into a single functional module with SA-RN regulators, SA-WN filter-regulators, SA-LN lubricators, and branch blocks for pneumatic line branching. Elements are mounted side by side without fittings using specialized fasteners. This allows you to create a customized air preparation unit that is compact, convenient, and stylish;
    • The equipment has an optimal price-to-reliability and durability ratio.

    Additional Information

    • After heating of the air due to compression in the compressor, it is necessary for the air to cool before being supplied into the filter-moisture separator in order to condense water droplets for the SA-FN device to collect the condensate. Cyclone-type filters cannot separate moisture particles as vapour from the air. For quality drying, we recommend setting up a refrigeration or adsorption air dryer after the compressor;
    • The bowl has a marker for the maximum condensate level — it should be removed in time. Failure to do so will lead to soaking the filter element and moisture ingress at the filter outlet to the consumer;
    • If it is necessary to increase the filtration degree of solid particles to 5 μm, two filters should be installed simultaneously: the first at 25 μm for preliminary filtration, the second directly at 5 μm. Without this, the 5 μm filter element will clog too quickly;
    • The filter element is a consumable item and requires periodic replacement. Its service life depends on the pollution level of the air in your pneumatic system — a decrease in filter throughput and increased pressure drop across the filter indicate the need for replacement. Filter elements can be washed with warm soapy water and thoroughly dried, but due to solid contamination particles penetrating deep into the filter element pores, full restoration of the filter element is impossible;
    • The filter should be installed vertically.
