ISO 6431 Pneumatic Cylinders

Pneumatic cylinders ISO 6431 (ISO 15552) are manufactured in Ukraine with standardised dimensions and mounting sizes, making these pneumatic cylinders and their mounts unified and interchangeable — our CPI and DNG models are locally produced analogues of all ISO 6431 cylinders.

These are detachable rod pneumatic cylinders of single and double action with built-in cushioning and permanent magnets mounted on the piston:

1. SC-DNG with a round barrel and open tie-rods;
2. SC-CPI with closed tie-rods and a Mickey Mouse style grooved body profile with T-slots for sensors, making it easier to install reed switches.

Both series can be used to produce through rod cylinders, hollow rod models (for PET bottle blowing), power tandems and tridems (double and triple cylinders), multi-position, with stroke adjustment and emergency locks.

What is the difference between ISO 6431 and ISO 15552 pneumatic cylinders?

The difference between ISO 6431 and ISO 15552 pneumatic cylinders lies in the shape of the barrel profile. ISO 6431:1992 (compatible with VDMA 24562, CNOMO/AFNOR 49003) is outdated and covered only single-rod cylinders. In 2004, it was replaced by ISO 15552, which describes the mounting dimensions for both single and through rod cylinders and includes minor changes to the profile barrel and sensor mounts. The current standard ISO 15552:2018 was revised in 2023.
