Electric Ball Valve Control IP67 SC-HL

Industrial ball valve electric actuators series SC-HL are bolted onto a standardized flange marked as F05, where the numbers denote the size according to ISO 5211. The drive is connected to a standard 220 Volt controller network for motor power and heating functions. Additionally, there are two types of control:

• Regulating electric ball valve can be stopped in an intermediate half-open position proportionately to the electric signal 4…20 mA, 1…5 V or 0…10 V, thus managing the feed level of the operating medium to control level, pressure, or temperature in the tank. Actuators are marked with the letter “A” at the end (e.g. SC-HL-05-A);
• Electric shut-off ball valve is cheaper but operates in an “open-close” mode.
• Electromechanical ball valve includes additional mech. control (handwheel) attached to the actuator.

If you require a normally closed or open electric ball valve, an air actuated valve might be more suitable. Model SC-RST has return springs in case of power failure. Pneumatics is also more reliable, less prone to failure, and easier to maintain than motorised valves.

Control Schemes for Electric Actuated Valves

Scheme “A”

The open or closed position of the regulated electric valve is controlled by standard signals via an external PLC (default 4-20 mA).

• single-phase power: connect the “N” terminal to neutral, “L” to phase
• input signals: “+IN” and “-IN”
• output signals: “+OUT” and “-OUT”

Scheme “B” for Electric Actuated Valve

The open or closed position of the shut-off electric valve is implemented by circuit switching:

1. neutral;
2. switch “open”;
3. switch “closed”;
4. state indication “open”;
5. state indication “closed”;
