Air Preparation Units
Air Preparation Units
Purpose of the Air Preparation Unit
Air Preparation Units simultaneously clean the air from solid particles and moisture droplets, regulate parameters and supply lubrication to the compressed air, making it suitable for use in a pneumatic system. Their use significantly increases the reliability and service life of pneumatic equipment.
Air Preparation Units (APU) are designed for the cleaning and preparation of compressed air used in pneumatic systems.
Main Functions of the Air Preparation Unit
Filtration - removal of moisture, dust, rust particles, and dirt from the air using built-in filters. This prevents impurities from entering the pneumatic system and wearing out the equipment.
Pressure Regulation - reducing the pressure of compressed air to the required working value. This is achieved by a built-in pressure-reducing valve regulator.
Lubrication - supplying lubrication to the airflow for the lubrication of pneumatic equipment using a built-in lubricator. This ensures uninterrupted operation and prevents equipment wear.
Parameter Control - measuring pressure after preparation using gauges included in the kit
The standard assembly of air preparation units consists of a filter-regulator and lubricator. The assembly is packaged in a single housing with a gauge and mounting parts.
Air Preparation Units available in our catalogue differ by:
- nominal air flow rates: from 500 l/min to 11500 l/min;
- thread diameter for connection: from the smallest M5 to the largest 1";
- degree of air filtration: from 5 microns to 40 microns;
- presence of gauge;
- method of condensate removal from the bowl: manual, automatic, or semi-automatic;
- presence of bowl protection: without protection, with a plastic or aluminium protective cup.
