Honed Stainless Steel Tubes (Sleeves)

A honed stainless steel tube is a type of stainless steel metal product. At Specialist's stock, you can acquire round thin-walled tubes of the length you need from AISI304 with an internal diameter of ⌀80-125 mm, finished with honing.

The honed stainless steel tube undergoes specialised internal metal processing using abrasive material to achieve precise dimensions and a smooth surface. After honing, the tubes can be used as cylindrical sleeves. When a piston moves inside the honed tube, the internal friction is significantly reduced and the seal is improved. Thin-walled honed tubes are mainly used in volume dispensers on filling lines, whereas thicker-walled ones are preferred for sleeves of pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders to withstand pressure and loads.
