SC-DNGG has the same characteristics and mounting dimensions as other power pneumatic cylinders ISO 15552 (ISO 6431, VDMA 24562). The main difference is the additional rod protection in the form of a bellows (folding rubber or fabric cover that unfolds when the rod extends). Due to the placement of the bellows, the rod (and the overall dimension of the cylinder) may be increased relative to models without it.
We recommend using pneumatic cylinders with protection for productions where there is a possibility of abrasive material getting on the pneumatic cylinder — sand, hard shavings, etc. Although the bellows do not provide absolute protection against abrasives, they significantly reduce wear on the rod and seal — the pneumatic cylinder will operate twice as long before major repairs, which pays off the cost of the bellows.
