Pneumatic cylinders SC-CPI ″Mickey Mouse″ series according to ISO 15552 standard (formerly ISO 6431)

The SC-CPI series double-acting pneumatic power cylinder can perform tasks of moving heavy objects or pressing with great force. They are interchangeable with other standard pneumatic cylinders with dimensional and mounting sizes according to the ISO 15552 (ISO 6431, VDMA 24562) standards, regardless of the manufacturer. Unlike the SC-DNG series, these pneumatic cylinders have a profiled sleeve with grooves for sensors, known as "Mickey Mouse."

Standard ISO 6431 cylinders have a piston diameter ranging from 32 to 320 mm. The stroke length of pneumatic cylinders ranges from 5 to 1500 mm depending on the piston diameter (see table below).

The built-in adjustable damper in the cylinder provides a smooth stop of the piston at the end of the stroke to absorb the force of its impact on the front or rear cover. Using a special screw, the damping can be adjusted for higher or lower piston braking degree.

Double action involves controlling the extension-retraction of the rod by supplying-releasing compressed air through two G1/8~1/2" threaded ports. A pressure of up to 12 bar is allowed.

Using SC-CPI pneumatic cylinders, we can manufacture tandem or tridandem pneumatic cylinders to increase force.

Internal structure and materials

The parts listed in the table are used by default to manufacture SC-CPI pneumatic cylinders. On request, we can use different materials (VITON seals, stainless steel body, etc.) or make changes to the construction itself.

The ISO 15552 cylinder design is disassemblable, allowing repair and replacement of worn parts.

SC-CPI model pneumatic cylinders have an aluminium profiled sleeve (rectangular body) with T-shaped grooves for sensor installation. Magnets are installed on the pistons by default.

By default, the cylinders have a single rod made of nickel-plated carbon steel with external metric threads M10-27 for attaching nozzles or loads directly. On request, the rod can be designed as a pass-through or with adjustable stroke, with chrome-plated stainless steel, without threads or with grooves, etc.

Please note that SC-CPI cylinder repair kits may have different sizes than the internal components of ISO15552 cylinders from other manufacturers.
