Series Comparison HS320 VS AT20
Vector frequency inverters SPLC-HS320 are analogous to the SPLC-AT20. Their main differences are as follows:
- HS320 is cheaper. It is a more budget-friendly vector inverter, lagging behind AT20 in processing speed and memory;
- HS320 has a higher carrier frequency — up to 16 kHz, allowing for lower low-frequency harmonics, less ripple, faster output signal change, and quieter operation (with user customization of carrier frequency for electromagnetic compatibility with the drive, etc.);
- HS320 does NOT support encoder connection;
- in HS320 there is no high-speed pulse output and RS485 (only relay), and the number of terminals in models with power over 5.5 kW is less than in AT20 inverters;
- HS320 has a smaller acceleration time/step program setting range — up to 999.9 sec and fewer preset program step values — up to 7 steps.
- models HS320 and SPLC-AT20 have different power modules and nominal output currents.

Methods for Setting the Frequency Converter SPLC-HS320
Models SPLC-HS320 support many options for setting output motor rotation frequency. You can simultaneously use one (X) or two sources (X,Y) of frequency setting — for the latter case, operations sum (X+Y), difference (X-Y), selection of larger or smaller value are available. This allows for the setup of complex operation programs, for example, when considering both the preset operation program and the sensor signal.
The sources for setting the output frequency in SPLC-HS320 can be:
- Digital setting of output frequency through menu F0-07 with a precision of up to 0.1 Hz with memory retention after power-off or reset;
- Proportional to the input signal by current to terminal AI1, by voltage AI2 or by rotating the potentiometer knob on the control panel with 0.1% accuracy of the set max frequency in F0-08;
- Multi-speed setting — switching between three preset values F7-00:F7-03 by signal from configured discrete signal terminals X1:5;
- Simple PLC — step control instruction with max 7 steps, can be used for a single work cycle, repeat or switch to ;
- PID regulation;
Vector and Scalar Control of Frequency Converter
Through the frequency inverter menu F0-01 you can select scalar U/f control or vector control.
Vector control mode allows for more accurate calculation of the current supplied to motor windings, but requires mandatory input of motor parameters: rated power, voltage, current, frequency, stator and rotor resistance, inductance.
