Description
Three-phase motor choke 490A, 380V, 220 kW, 0.014 mH OCL-0490-014U-0.4SA are installed at the output of a frequency converter to filter the current supplied to three-phase electric motors at 380 V. The purpose of the output electric choke is as follows:
- Creating inductive resistance that limits the power supply current to the motor, thus preventing overload and damage;
- Preventing sudden current surges during motor start-up, which can lead to equipment failure;
- Clearing the current sine wave from unwanted high harmonics (high-frequency noises) arising in the drive.
Use an AC output choke in the circuit between the frequency converter and the asynchronous electric motor to improve the quality of the drive's power supply, as well as ensure safe and long-term equipment operation.

When placing the choke in a cabinet, ensure ventilation for adequate equipment cooling.
