3/4 Inch Ball Valves (DN 20)

3/4 inch Ball Valve DN20 “Specialist” is an industrial valve made of stainless steel for a pipeline with a nominal diameter of 20 mm, flanges DN 20 PN16, for welding. All our ¾″ valves are stainless and can work with aggressive substances, potable water pipelines, hot water and steam, up to 180°C, oils, and petroleum products.

Advantages of full-bore ball valves ¾″

A full-bore valve with a three-quarter inch diameter means the ball opening diameter 20 mm matches the pipe's internal diameter 20 mm, providing maximum throughput, low hydraulic resistance, and reliability.

If standard-bore models have a flow coefficient Cv 15~20 then for full-bore ball valves DN 20 the Cv value is 45~55. This is especially important for work under pressure with viscous media — oils and petroleum products, syrups.

A full-bore valve ¾ inch also has a long service life, whereas standard ones wear out more due to turbulence caused by the narrowing of the ball opening.

Variants of full-bore valves DN 20

• SCBV-Q601-16FA-20 — one-piece shut-off water valve 3/4″ DN20 PN16 with a solid cast stainless steel body 1000 WOG and a long handle. Designed for threaded installation on water, air, oil pipes at a pressure up to 16 bar. Its disadvantage is that it does not provide for the installation of an automatic drive, is non-disassemblable, and the seat and seals cannot be replaced. Once worn, it is completely replaced and not repaired. Thread type is pipe cylindrical BSPP with the designation G ¾″.
• SCBV-Q610-16FC-20 — two-piece industrial ball valve FF 3/4″ DN20 PN16 socket type with a partially disassemblable body of two parts, made of "food-grade" stainless steel CF8 (AISI 304 SS) and PTFE seat. Since it is disassembled from one side, maintenance is more complicated compared to three-piece versions. This model is also only available with G ¾″ thread.
• SCBV-Q611-16FC-20 — three-piece industrial ball valve 3/4″, which is most quickly disassembled and repaired. Besides socket type, you can order this ball valve in flange DN 20, or the welded type DN 20 mm.

Upon request, we can draw up a commercial offer for a three-way ball valve ¾ inch, thread "front-back" sanitary (hygienic) popular for dairy products, as well as a hydraulic ball valve with automated control — pneumatic or electric drive.

Purpose of stainless ¾ inch ball valves (DN 20)

By default, we offer valves ¾ D20 PN16 - that is, for a maximum pressure of 1.6 MPa (16 bar). Upon request, it is possible to manufacture ball valves DK 20 for high pressures PN25 (PN25), PN32 (PN32), and PN64 (PN64) - using greater steel thickness and reinforcement.

The body and ball material is by default cast stainless steel ANSI CF8, which is chemically equivalent to AISI 304 SS (AISI 304 is the standard for sheet steel and pipes, i.e., the production technology differs).

Sealing rubber is highly inert PTFE.

CF8+PTFE ball valves are compatible with water, acid and alkali solutions, lubricants, and petroleum products, except those containing sulfur, chlorine, and other chemical compounds, as well as concentrated acids at high temperatures. Check your working environment compatibility with CF8+PTFE using reference tables or call us to clarify if you want to purchase a valve for a specific working environment.

Regulating valve ¾ inch (DN 20): installation of pneumatic or electric drive

A drive can be installed on ball valves ¾″ DN20 PN16 with a F04/F05 (ISO 5211) platform — these include models Q610, Q611, among others.

For shut-off valves operating in the "open-close" mode, use electric drive SC-HL-05, pneumatic drive SC-RAT052, or SC-RST052 with a pneumatic distributor. The SC-RST052 model provides spring return for emergency shutdown and transfers the shut-off valve to the "open" or "closed" state.

For a ¾ inch ball valve used for flow regulation, use the SC-HL-05-A (4-20 mA) electric drive, and for electropneumatic drive - pneumatic drive SC-RAT052 or SC-RST052 with the addition of a positioner SCBF-REP-1000RD (4-20 mA).
