Pneumatic valves 5/3 series SV-C-H(S)-53, SV-D-H(S)-53, and SV-E-H(S)-53 with side lever for manual control are designed to work with compressed air at a working pressure of 0-8.5 bar. They can be used for building pneumatic circuits, controlling double-acting pneumatic cylinders and other tasks.
Five-line three-position pneumatic valves have five ports on the body, labelled with letters or numbers:
- "P" — inlet for compressed air supply
- "A" — outlet for consumer 1
- "S" or "ExA" — exhaust port for pressure release from outlet 1
- "B" — outlet for consumer 2
- "R" or "ExB" – exhaust port for pressure release from outlet 2
Inlet-outlet ports have the same internal cylindrical thread size — G1/8", G1/4", G3/8" or G1/2", while exhaust ports may have the same or smaller thread size (see table below). Consider this when connecting pneumatic silencers to the valves.
Three-position valves with side lever may have different constructions according to the central position of the slide:
- 5/3 Pneumatic valves C with closed centre (default)
- 5/3 Pneumatic valves E with open centre (on request)
- 5/3 Pneumatic valves P with pressure supply to both inlets (on request)
By type of control:
- 5/3 pneumatic valves with side lever with spring return HS (monostable), which occupy the central state at rest (closed centre, open centre, or pressurised both inlets).
- 5/2 pneumatic valves with side lever with lock H (bistable) remain fixed in any of the three positions after operator switching until moved to another position.
