Series SCC-MF-W air filter-water separators are supplied with a G3/4″ or G1/2″ thread for connection to a main pneumatic line after the compressor and are designed for cleaning large volumes of compressed air from moisture, solid particles, and oil.
For the best air drying effect, it is advisable to use cooling in refrigeration dryers to transform water vapour into a liquid state, as vortex type separators remove condensate in liquid form. Condensed water is removed manually or by automatic condensate drain valves — the condensate trap is not included in the price and can be ordered separately from us.
The degree of filtration from solid particles and compressor oil residues depends on the replaceable filter element (cartridge) installed inside. An increase in the pressure drop across the water separator indicates contamination of the filter material and the need for its replacement.
