The aluminium braking resistor ALR-75-750 is a type of braking resistor with a power of 750 W and resistance of 75 Ohm, utilizing aluminium materials for its construction. This type of resistor usually consists of aluminium heatsinks and resistive elements made from special aluminium alloys with a high resistance coefficient.
The primary purpose of aluminium braking resistors is similar to other types of braking resistors – to dissipate excess energy that occurs during the braking of electric motors up to 7.7 kW, controlled by frequency converters. When the converter activates motor braking, the aluminium braking resistor with 750 W is used to dissipate this energy as heat.
Aluminium braking resistors are widely used in electric motor control systems of 220 V and 380 V, where effective braking and dissipation of excess energy are required.
