The Aluminium Braking Resistor ALR-32-2000 is a type of braking resistor with a power of 2000 W and resistance of 32 Ohm, using aluminium materials for its construction. This type of resistor usually consists of aluminium radiators and resistive elements made from special aluminium alloys with a high resistance coefficient.
The main purpose of aluminium braking resistors is the same as other types of braking resistors - dissipating excessive energy generated during the braking of electric motors up to 18.5 kW controlled by frequency converters. When the converter activates motor braking, the 2000 W aluminium braking resistor is used to dissipate this energy as heat.
Aluminium braking resistors are widely used in control systems of electric motors at 220 V and 380 V, where effective braking and energy dissipation are required.
