The aluminium braking resistor ALR-150-400 is a type of braking resistor with a power of 400 W and a resistance of 150 Ohm, using aluminium materials in its construction. This type of resistor typically consists of aluminium heatsinks and resistive elements made from special aluminium alloys with a high resistance coefficient.
The main purpose of aluminium braking resistors is the same as that of other types of braking resistors - to dissipate excess energy generated during the braking of electric motors with power up to 3.7 kW, controlled by frequency converters. When the converter activates motor braking, the aluminium braking resistor with a power of 400 W is used to dissipate this energy in the form of heat.
Aluminium braking resistors are widely used in electric motor control systems of 220 V and 380 V, where effective braking and energy dissipation are required.
