The aluminium brake resistor ALR-200-500 is a type of brake resistor with power of 500 W and resistance of 200 Ohm, using aluminium materials for its construction. This type of resistor typically consists of aluminium radiators and resistive elements made from special aluminium alloys with a high resistance coefficient.
The main purpose of aluminium brake resistors is the same as other types of brake resistors - dissipating excess energy generated during the braking of electric motors up to 1.5 kW managed by frequency converters. When the converter activates motor braking, the 500 W aluminium brake resistor is used to dissipate this energy in the form of heat.
Aluminium brake resistors are widely used in control systems for electric motors of 220 V and 380 V, where efficient braking and dissipation of excess energy are required.
