Description
Three-phase motor choke 800A, 380V, 380kW, 0.0087 mH OCL-0800-08U7-0.4SA is installed at the output of a frequency converter to filter the current supplied to three-phase electric motors at 380 V. The purpose of the output electromagnetics is as follows:
- Creating inductive resistance which limits the motor supply current thus preventing overload and damage;
- Preventing sharp current spikes during the start of the electric motor which may damage the equipment;
- Cleansing the current sine wave from unwanted high harmonics (high-frequency noise) arising in the electric drive.
Use an AC output choke in the circuit between the converter and asynchronous electric motor to improve the power supply quality of the drive and ensure safe and long-term equipment operation.

- In the temperature range from minus 10 to 45℃ the nominal parameters of the choke are tabular. At temperatures above 55℃ the nominal current decreases by about 2% with each additional +1℃.
- The altitude should not exceed 2000 m above sea level.
- Air humidity is less than 90%.
- Environment: free of harmful gases, flammable objects, with good ventilation available.
If placing the choke in a cabinet, adequate ventilation must be provided for sufficient equipment cooling.
