The aluminium brake resistor ALR-250-200 is a type of brake resistor with 200 W power and 250 Ohm resistance, made using aluminium materials for its construction. This type of resistor usually consists of aluminium heatsinks and resistive elements made from special aluminium alloys with high resistance coefficients.
The primary purpose of aluminium brake resistors is the same as other types of brake resistors - dissipating excess energy generated during the braking of electric motors up to 2.2 kW, controlled by frequency converters. When the converter activates the motor brake, the 200 W aluminium brake resistor is used to dissipate this energy as heat.
Aluminium brake resistors are widely used in the control systems of electric motors at 220 V and 380 V, where effective braking and dissipation of excess energy are required.
