Compressors 900 L/min
Compressors 900 L/min
Air compressors 900 L/min Specialist are industrial screw-type air compression installations with a performance of over 900 litres per minute that feature better parameters and reliability compared to cheaper piston ones.
Due to a large power of over 5 kW, these installations are designed for three-phase electrical power 380 Volts—from the network, a petrol generator, or a powerful UPS.
Differences between screw 0.9 m3/min and piston compressors
- Screw compressors operate 24/7, as they do not require regular cooling stops like piston installations do.
- Screw compressors have a longer life before major repairs. On average, the screw block of compressor blowers operates 20-30 thousand hours without major repairs, whereas piston head lifespan is 10-15 thousand hours. Yet, piston units break down more often due to overload and overheating, as well as ingress of abrasive particles—screw units are better protected against such failures because they are equipped with an atmospheric air intake filter, safety valves and temperature and pressure sensors.
- Less pressure surging. After compression in the screw pair, the airflow exits in more frequent and smaller portions, which grants smoothness, and with the right selection of compressor performance for a 900 L/min demand and volumetric receiver, pulsations are eliminated.
- Cleaner air. Both piston and screw compressors are oil-based, but the latter include a separator that removes a significant part of the compressor oil. Less air heating also affects the quality, making it easier to separate condensate in air dryers and separators which greatly extends the tool life and affects processes such as professional spray painting.
- Quieter and less noisy operation. The noise from the Specialist pneumatic compressor is further reduced by the anti-vibration mounts of the screw block and motor, as well as sound insulation on the casing.
- High efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Although screw compressor equipment is more expensive, in the long term it pays for itself due to efficiency and extending the life of the entire pneumatic system.
These are not the only advantages of a screw compressor with a 900 litres per minute capacity for workshops and productions. It greatly simplifies maintenance services, and at Specialist you can always purchase both original spare parts for repairs and accessories—hoses, adapters, valves, pneumatic wrenches, pneumatic cylinders for machines, air preparation units, etc.
