The five-line three-position 5/3 pneumatic distributors with closed centre and bilateral electropneumatic control are designed to work with compressed air at an operational pressure of 1.5-8.5 bar. They can be used to control double-acting pneumatic cylinders or other tasks. They are installed both individually and in groups on a mounting plate.
Five-line pneumatic distributors have five ports on their body labelled with numbers or letters:
- "P" — inlet port for connecting compressed air supply
- "A" — outlet port 1
- "S" or "ExA" — exhaust port for pressure release from outlet 1
- "B" — outlet port 2
- "R" or "ExB" — exhaust port for pressure release from outlet 2
Pneumatic distributors with internal pipe cylindrical thread for input-output G1/8″, G1/4″, G3/8″, G1/2″ or G1″ are available to order. When selecting pneumatic silencers or throttles, note that the sizes of the distributor's exhaust ports are smaller than its input-output (see table below).
By operation mode, the 5/3 distributors with a closed centre are monostable, meaning that in the absence of control signals or simultaneous application of voltage to both coils, they will settle in a position where all lines are blocked. The 5/3 distributors have three execution variations regarding the state without controlling signals:

"C" — with closed centre (default)
- "E" — with open centre (upon request)
- "P" — with pressure supply to both inlets (upon request)
The client can order solenoid coils with the required electrical specifications:

DC12V — direct current, voltage 12V

DC24V — direct current, voltage 24V

AC220V — alternating current, voltage 220V
Other coils, including explosion-proof versions, are installed on the distributor only upon customer's request.
The distributors are divided into series SV-C, SV-D, SV-E, and SV-EL, differing from each other in effective cross-sectional area, compressed air flow rate, and the thread sizes on the connection ports to the pneumatic line.
