Description

The 3/2 pneumatic valves in the SV-C/D/E series with pneumatic air signal control are designed for building pneumatic circuits, controlling single-action pneumatic cylinders in harsh conditions (in the presence of electromagnetic noise, etc.).

The 3/2 pneumatic valves are three-way, meaning they have three ports for connection to the pneumatic line:

"P" — input for connecting the compressed air supply
"A" — output for connecting to the consumer line
"S" — exhaust port from which the air is released to the atmosphere to reduce output pressure. It is recommended to install pneumatic mufflers on the threaded exhaust port to prevent contamination inside the pneumatic valve and reduce noise levels when releasing air)

On the side ends of the 3/2 valves, there are additional threaded holes G1/8″ for supplying the pneumatic control signal.

The 3/2 pneumatic valves have three variants based on their operation mode:

monostable valve 3/2 NC (normally closed) contains a return spring that, in the absence of a pneumatic signal, returns the spool to the position where the air supply input is closed, and the air is released into the atmosphere through the exhaust;
monostable valve 3/2 NO (normally open), in the absence of a control signal, conversely allows the flow of compressed air from the input to the output, with the exhaust closed;
bistable valve 3/2 is controlled by two separate pneumatic signals (open-close). In the absence of air control signals, the spool will remain in any of its last positions until it receives a new signal to change position.

The advantage of pneumatic valves over electropneumatic pilot valves is the ability to operate at low compressed air input pressure (less than 2 bar). Pneumatic valves are mainly used in specific explosive areas or areas with high electromagnetic interference, etc.
