The aluminium braking resistor ALR-750-60 is a type of braking resistor with 60 W power and 750 Ω resistance, which utilises aluminium materials for its construction. This type of resistor typically consists of aluminium radiators and resistive elements made from special aluminium alloys with high resistance coefficients.
The primary purpose of aluminium braking resistors is the same as other types of braking resistors - to dissipate excess energy generated during the braking of electric motors up to 0.75 kW controlled by frequency converters. When the converter activates the motor braking, the 60 W aluminium braking resistor is used to dissipate this energy as heat.
Aluminium braking resistors are widely used in electric motor control systems of 220 V and 380 V, where effective braking and dissipation of excess energy are required.
