Aluminium braking resistor ALR-150-300 is a type of braking resistor with 300 W power and 150 Ohm resistance, which employs aluminium materials for its construction. This type of resistor typically consists of aluminium heat sinks and resistive elements made from special aluminium alloys with a high resistance coefficient.
The main purpose of aluminium braking resistors is the same as other types of braking resistors - dissipating excessive energy that arises during braking electric motors up to 3.7 kW, controlled by frequency converters. When the converter activates motor braking, the 300 W aluminium braking resistor is used to dissipate this energy in the form of heat.
Aluminium braking resistors are widely used in electric motor control systems of 220 V and 380 V, where effective braking and dissipation of excessive energy are required.
