Description
Emergency air compressor pressure relief valve 1/4″ — a safety element for protection in case of sensor failure, relay malfunction, or incorrect controller settings. The model is non-adjustable with a preset max. 16 atmospheres. If the air compressor becomes uncontrollable due to a failure in the control circuit and excessively compresses air, the emergency relief valve will release it, reducing it to 16 bar, ensuring the integrity of parts and pipelines below the circuit. Temperature-resistant Viton gaskets withstand the contents of compressor oil in hot air and offer excellent sealing in the closed state; -

The emergency valve operates automatically thanks to a spring mechanism, and the quality spring and simple design make it more reliable compared to adjustable counterparts; -
Brass body.
Strong brass resists pneumatic pressure up to 16 bar, and is corrosion-resistant.

This relief valve can be used both inside screw compressors up to 16 bar, and with piston installations and other pneumatic systems where pressure limitation is needed for safety. When choosing a valve for "Specialist" compressor brand, the device is installed on an air-oil separator (separation tank):
- SCC-ZA-10-SAFETY-VALVE fits screw compressors 7.5 kW with a capacity of up to 1.2 cubic meters per minute;
- SCC-ZA-20-SAFETY-VALVE — for 11 kW, up to 1.7 m3/min;
- SCC-ZA-30-SAFETY-VALVE — for 15 kW up to 3.8 m³/min.
When noise occurs in the compressor, it should be stopped and examined by a specialist.
Hissing from the safety valve indicates pressure relief, which may be related to incorrect sensor operation, program setting error, or malfunction of the valve itself (cheap parts may have SOX/NBR seals or springs, causing faster failure due to temperature and oil exposure).
