Aluminium Brake Resistor ALR-400-150 is a type of brake resistor with a power of 150 W and resistance of 400 Ohm, using aluminium materials for its construction. This type of resistor typically comprises aluminium heat sinks and resistive elements made from special aluminium alloys with high resistance coefficients.
The main purpose of aluminium brake resistors is the same as other types of brake resistors - to dissipate excess energy generated during braking of electric motors with up to 1.5 kW power, controlled by frequency converters. When the converter activates motor braking, the aluminium brake resistor of 150 W is used to dissipate this energy as heat.
Aluminium brake resistors are widely used in electric motor control systems of 220V and 380V, where efficient braking and dissipation of excess energy is required.
