Aluminium brake resistor ALR-400-120 is a type of brake resistor with 120 W power and 400 Ohm resistance, using aluminium materials for its construction. This type of resistor typically consists of aluminium heatsinks and resistive elements made from special aluminium alloys with high resistance coefficients.
The main purpose of aluminium brake resistors is the same as other types of brake resistors - to dissipate excess energy generated during the braking of electric motors up to 1.5 kW controlled by frequency converters. When the converter activates the braking of the motor, the 60 W aluminium brake resistor is used to dissipate this energy in the form of heat.
Aluminium brake resistors are widely used in electric motor control systems of 220 V and 380 V, where effective braking and dissipation of excess energy are required.
