Oil and Lubricant for Pneumatics

Pneumatic lubricants are mineral and synthetic oils intended for pneumatic equipment that operates with compressed air. They can be divided into three types:

• liquid compressor oils for oil-filled piston and screw air compressors;
• liquid oils for lubricators and lubrication of pneumatic tools;
• thick grease for lubricating pneumatics.

Compressor oils come in various viscosities. The most popular are ISO VG 46/100/150. The specific type depends on the type of compressor.

Lubricator Oil

Which oil to pour into the lubricator?

Only specialised synthetic mineral oil of international standard VG32 with low viscosity should be poured into pneumatic lubricators (oil sprayers). It can be ordered from us online or purchased at other stores selling hydraulics and pneumatics.

• Kinematic viscosity at 40° C — 32 mm²/s
• Kinematic viscosity at 100° C — 5.3 mm²/s
• Density — 860 kg/m³

Can pneumatics be lubricated with motor oil?

No, pneumatic equipment cannot be lubricated with motor oil.
