Screw Compressors with Frequency Converter
Air screw compressors with a frequency converter are typically supplied with a power rating from 7.5~11 kW. Frequency control of the motor helps reduce power consumption when the compressor unit needs to compress a volume of air less than the nominal. The more powerful the model, the quicker the investment in a frequency converter pays off.
The frequency inverter in Specialist pneumatic compressors is installed inside the electrical cabinet and is already connected to the controller. We can also offer a compressor with a frequency converter that controls a synchronous motor with permanent magnets, instead of the usual asynchronous one. The cost of this type of electric drive is higher, but it will have an increased efficiency by ~2-5%, lower energy consumption at low speeds, greater stability against voltage fluctuations in the power network when operating from a generator.
