Compact Pneumatic Cylinders single-acting with return spring in rod-less chamber and single-ended piston rod of the SC-STA series have an extended piston rod in the absence of air supply.
These cylinders are manufactured with a piston diameter from 12 to 100 mm and a stroke length in multiples of 5 mm, but not more than 30 mm. This series does not have a built-in cushioning device, and cushioning disks are used to absorb the impact force of the piston against the cap. Short-stroke pneumatic cylinders of this type are frequently found on Chinese made machinery.
At the customer's request, it is possible to manufacture SC-STA pneumatic cylinders:
- with a magnet to allow piston position control using a hall switch (denoted by the letter "S" in the code)
- without a magnet on the piston, allowing for further reduction in overall dimensions.

The SC-STA single-acting pneumatic cylinder with return spring in rod-less chamber ensures extension of the piston rod when pressure is released. The pneumatic cylinder has a single inlet port for connection to the pneumo circuit. When compressed air is supplied to the piston chamber, the rod extends.
