Aluminium brake resistor ALR-750-100 is a type of brake resistor with a power of 100 W and resistance of 750 Ohm, which uses aluminium materials for its construction. This type of resistor typically consists of aluminium heatsinks and resistive elements made from special aluminium alloys with a high resistance coefficient.
The main purpose of aluminium brake resistors is the same as for other types of brake resistors - to dissipate excess energy generated during the braking of electric motors with a power of up to 0.75 kW, controlled by frequency converters. When the converter activates motor braking, the aluminium brake resistor with a power of 100 W is used to dissipate this energy as heat.
Aluminium brake resistors are widely used in electric motor control systems of 220 V and 380 V, where effective braking and dissipation of excess energy are required.
