The aluminium brake resistor ALR-40-1500 is a type of brake resistor with a power of 1500 W and resistance of 40 Ohm, using aluminium materials for its construction. This type of resistor usually consists of aluminium radiators and resistive elements made from special aluminium alloys with a high resistance coefficient.
The main purpose of aluminium brake resistors is the same as other types of brake resistors - dissipating excess energy generated during the braking of electric motors up to 15 kW, controlled by frequency converters. When the converter activates motor braking, the 1500 W aluminium brake resistor is used to dissipate this energy as heat.
Aluminium brake resistors are widely used in electric motor control systems of 220 V and 380 V, where effective braking and dissipation of excess energy are required.
