Jaw coupling with elastic element Ø63x89 mm is a typical spare part for repairing a compressor, vacuum pump or other drive mechanism. This coupling achieves a torque transmission efficiency of 98%, compensates for small misalignments of two shafts, and dampens vibrations for smooth operation, thereby protecting the electric motor and revolving parts.

Jaw couplings with elastic stars consist of the following parts:

• Steel half-coupling with trident for smaller shaft Ø28 mm with a keyway 9 mm;
• The same half-coupling with boring for the larger shaft Ø38 mm with a keyway 10 mm;
• Rubber toothed crown made of polyurethane (PU).

Unlike cheap alternatives using tri-jaw half-couplings made of aluminium and a star (spider) made of SOX/NBR, our Specialist jaw couplings are made from strong and wear-resistant materials — steel and PU, which can transmit greater rotational torque and last longer.

These compressor components are suitable for units of Chinese and European production, as well as direct drive installations from "Specialist" produced from 2017-2023, where this elastic coupling connects the engine shaft with the compressor head (screw pair). The connecting coupling, during constant compressor operation, lasts around 2 years.
