Proximity Sensors

Non-contact proximity sensors react to the presence of objects at a distance of up to 25 mm from the sensor. You can purchase two types from us:

• Capacitive sensors are versatile in detecting objects made of various materials — they respond to the electric field of metal, plastic, glass products and liquids with dielectric properties different from air (water, oil, etc.).
• Inductive sensors react to the magnetic field of metals such as steel, aluminium, chrome, nickel, copper, etc., when metal parts are present.

By signal type, presence sensors are:

• non-contact two-wire switches that close circuits of alternating or direct current;
• three-wire, with a transistor PNP or NPN output for direct current.

Apart from proximity detection, these devices can also be used as speed control sensors.
