The Aluminium Braking Resistor ALR-27-2500 is a type of braking resistor with a capacity of 2500 W and a resistance of 27 Ohm, using aluminium materials for its construction. This type of resistor usually consists of aluminium heat sinks and resistive elements made from special aluminium alloys with a high resistance coefficient.
The main function of aluminium braking resistors is the same as that of other types of braking resistors - to dissipate excess energy generated during the braking of electric motors up to 22 kW controlled by frequency converters. When the converter activates the motor brakes, the 2500 W aluminium braking resistor is used to dissipate this energy as heat.
Aluminium braking resistors are widely used in 220 V and 380 V electric motor control systems where effective braking and energy dissipation are required.
