Braking Ceramic Resistors

Braking ceramic resistors offer powerful resistance of 80~3000 Watts on a ceramic round housing and ready-made blocks of several resistors with a total power of 37~90 kW, designed for energy dissipation during electric drive braking.

When the motor is forcibly stopped by a frequency converter program, it returns a high current to the converter, which is suppressed by means of resistor links. As the wire passes through the high resistance, the resistor heats up and dissipates excess kinetic energy.
