Pneumatic Turbine Vibrators: Powerful and Effective for Bulk Materials
Pneumatic vibrators are robust, low-maintenance devices that use compressed air to generate strong vibrations. These industrial vibrators are ideal for ensuring consistent flow of bulk materials in hoppers, funnels, chutes, and other lines.
How Pneumatic Vibrators Work
The core of an industrial turbine pneumatic vibrator is an unbalanced turbine wheel driven by compressed air. Spinning at high speeds, it creates centrifugal force that turns into adjustable vibrations. Key components include:
- Body made of aluminium, ductile iron, or cast steel
- Large sealed bearings for durability
- Adjustment of vibration frequency/force using an air pressure regulator or exhaust muffler
The vibration force is determined by the size of the turbine wheel and the rotational speed (RPM). Smaller wheels generate higher vibration frequencies, while larger ones exert exponentially greater forces.
Advantages of the Turbine Pneumatic Vibrator
- Fast, powerful vibrations for reliable material flow
- No lubrication required, only clean compressed air
- Low air consumption and low noise level
- Versatile mounting options for flexible installation
- Suitable for high temperatures up to 120°C
- Very long service life with minimal maintenance
- Compact size with high output force up to 10,000 N
For uninterrupted bulk material flow over a long interval, select a vibrator that generates 100 N of vibration force per kilogram of stored material at 5.6 bar pressure.
A pneumatic vibrator can create mechanical oscillations to shake containers storing sticky substances such as cement and flour, and ensure distribution and even spread of bulk fractions according to shape, facilitating transportation. The most common type of pneumatic vibrators are ball vibrators, which have the following advantages over similar electromechanical equipment:
- Air vibrators are allowed in explosive and flammable zones, at high temperatures;
- Actuators are compact in size while capable of creating high force - up to 10,000 Newton;
- No special installation requirements - device installation is permitted in any position, including inclined
- Simplicity and reliability of design make these pneumatic devices more unpretentious in operation and thus long-lasting
- Pneumatic vibrators are adjustable - vibration amplitude, speed, and force can be selected.
Unlike other compressed air drives, pneumatic vibrators also do not require special air preparation - a coarse filter of 40 microns is sufficient, and no lubrication is needed. This makes air-driven vibrators better compared to their electric counterparts.
